Overview

Assistant Food and Beverage Manager, £30,000 per annum (£14.42 per hour) plus Service Charge, 40 hours per week (5 days)

Responsibilities
  • You will have experience of implementing and maintaining control measures to ensure that food and beverage costs, productivity, labour costs and operating supply costs for the outlet are in line with budget.
  • Carry out Duty Management shifts according to business needs and participate in departmental meetings to review progress towards achievement of business plan goals.
  • An Assistant Food and Beverage Manager is responsible for the daily management of the food and beverage outlets, ensuring the highest standards of food and beverage service are provided to guests. Plan, organise and direct the overall Food and Beverage operation, administration, marketing and promotion of the outlet, and be responsible and accountable for its profitability and revenue generation. A strong background and experience in Conference and Banqueting is essential.
  • Maintain a good understanding of food hygiene and health and safety procedures.
  • Prepare weekly and monthly forecasts for restaurant, bar and room service.
  • Ensure clear communication with the Food and Beverage Manager, Head Chef, Conference and Events Manager and Operations Manager.
  • Work flexibly as the role requires, with shifts and days across 7 days a week, 365 days a year; shift patterns and contracted hours can be discussed at interview.
Qualifications and Experience
  • Experience in managing food and beverage operations with a focus on profitability, service standards and guest experience.
  • Strong leadership, interpersonal and training skills; excellent communication and team motivation abilities.
  • Understanding of food hygiene and health and safety procedures.
