This career site is for external applicants only.**Employee Type: RegularThis position will safely perform all aspects of rolling stock maintenance as assigned by the supervisor. This requires a strong commitment to safety while ensuring that equipment remain functional, reliable and well maintained.**Job Description:****Essential Duties:*** Perform preventive maintenance such as change oil and grease and replace components on a scheduled basis.* Troubleshoot/diagnose heavy equipment malfunctions and replace parts, repair, and rebuild as necessary.* Dismantle and reassemble equipment using hoists and hand tools.* Read blueprints and follow service manuals and parts lists in setting up and performing repairs and any rebuilds.* Utilize work orders and requisitions for ordering parts and maintenance of equipment cost records.* Advise when immediate shut-down of equipment is necessary to minimize damage or when continued operation will have no harmful effect.* Perform job duties in accordance with MSHA law and regulations, established company safety procedures and State and Federal environmental regulations.**Other Duties:*** Operate the equipment to diagnose problems.* Operate light vehicles to travel throughout the mine site.* Maintain shop area in a safe and clean manner.* Perform other duties as assigned.**Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:*** Background in repair and maintenance including ability to read, understand, and use prints and manuals.* Knowledge of mechanical, i.e., engine, transmission, drive train, pneumatic, hydraulic, electrical and air conditioning systems.* Skilled in diagnosing malfunctions.* Must be able to work rotating 12 hour shift work**Education, Training and Experience:*** On-the-job training or vocational training is preferred* Must pass the necessary written and practical tests for this position**Benefits:*** Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance* 401K & Company Match* Paid Time Off* Paid Holidays* Life Insurance* Wellness Program**Requirements:*** Steel Toe Shoes**Starting Salary:** $49.68 (Hourly)**External individuals interested should apply online at:***Position closes on February 17, 2026.***EEO Statement:**EEO/M/F/disability/veteran You must meet at least the specific minimum requirements listed above to be considered a qualified applicant.
