Job description

Develop your knowledge and understanding of the scientific principles that best explain the underlying structures of the universe, including topics such as mechanics, electricity, wave motion oscillations, gravity, space, cosmology, electrical fields, magnetism, nuclear physics, particle physics and medical physics. You will develop advanced mathematical skills, fine‑tune your problem‑solving skills and complete a range of interesting experimental investigations.

Entry Requirements

5 GCSEs at Grade 5 or above - Including English. Grade 6 in Mathematics. Grade 6 Physics or Grade 66 Dual Science. It is recommended that you choose A Level Mathematics to support A Level Physics.

Assessment

On this course you will be assessed via three exam papers at the end of your second year. You will also undertake a number of practical experiments in which you will work towards a skills certification in practical physics.

See first‑hand the application of your knowledge as you attend the Physics Olympiad, carrying out your own research projects and experimental challenges.
