Job description
Overview

We Do What We Say - that’s why we need people like you to help us deliver on our promises. People who enjoy getting things done!

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys a hands-on, physical job and doesn’t mind working outdoors in all weather conditions. If you like being active, getting stuck in and seeing the results of your work at the end of the day, this could be the role for you.

You’ll be part of our Anglian Water Alliance delivery team and will work closely with an experienced Water Metering Team Leader, who will support you as you build your skills and develop your career in the clean water industry.

Here are some of the activities you’ll be involved in…

  • Assisting with the installation and replacement of water meters
  • Carrying out excavation and reinstatement works in line with approved methods
  • Locating water assets and identifying issues on the network
  • Checking tools, equipment and vehicles are fit for use and properly maintained
  • Completing risk assessments and following safe systems of work at all times
  • Working safely around underground services using CAT & Genny equipment
  • Ensuring strict compliance with Clancy Group and Anglian Water health, safety and environmental standards
  • Completing job records and site paperwork accurately
Qualifications / Experience

You have previous experience working on water networks, utilities or within a construction or civils environment, and enjoy practical, site-based work.

You’ll bring a positive, reliable attitude, be comfortable working as part of a team, and take pride in working safely and to a high standard.

A full, clean UK driving licence is essential. NRSWA (Streetworks) is highly desirable, and any experience in water network repairs, excavation or reinstatement would be an advantage — but full training and development will be provided for the right person.
