Contract: Permanent, Full time

Salary: £27,976 to £33,000 depending on experience + call out + over time + standby

What will you be responsible for?

As a Highways Maintenance Operative, you’ll be working within the Operative team, supporting them with reactive and planned highways maintenance works such as pothole repairs, kerb laying, minor civils works / improvement works and support severe weather operations.

Day-to-day responsibilities

• Carrying out routine maintenance and repairs on the network, operating a variety of plant and equipment, carrying out required duties effectively, ensuring site and company equipment is always secure, raising problems/queries with designated supervisor and completing daily record sheets.
• Using WMS / MMW application at incidents and emergency repairs on the network and, when required, completing any required record sheets and providing accurate records of works on the network.
• Conducting daily defect reports on vehicles and maintaining vehicles in a good order.

• You are Street Works qualified – unit 1-9.
• Drive and hold a full driving licence.
• Category C licence.
• Can work on your own initiative and as part of a team.
