Position Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled SEO Specialist to lead our organic search growth across traditional Google search and emerging AI-powered discovery channels (Google SGE, Bing Copilot, Perplexity, ChatGPT Answers and other generative engines).
You will execute a full-funnel SEO strategy covering technical optimisation, content frameworks, entity SEO, semantic structuring and AI-oriented optimisation for B2B SaaS.
This role requires someone who understands modern SEO beyond keywords - someone who can improve rankings, build authority and prepare Xpedeon's content for the shift from search engines to answer engines.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Organic Search & Growth Strategy
- Develop and execute Xpedeon's SEO strategy with a focus on high-intent keywords.
- Build and maintain a keyword universe across navigational, informational, commercial and transactional intents.
- Analyse competitor search landscapes to identify ranking gaps and content opportunities.
- Lead topic cluster development for complex personas
Content & On-Page Optimisation
- Create detailed SEO briefs for blogs, landing pages, use cases, solution and industry pages.
- Optimise content for semantic relevance, entity recognition and AI readability.
- Ensure metadata, heading structures, schemas, internal linking and content hierarchy align with best practices.
- Collaborate with writers to refine copy for clarity, ranking potential and answer quality.
AI Search & Generative Answer Optimisation
- Optimise content for Google SGE, Bing Copilot, Perplexity, ChatGPT Search and AI summarisation engines.
- Build semantic content structures designed for answer extraction, entity matching, and fact-level accuracy.
- Implement strategies for passage-based ranking, zero-click visibility and rich answer eligibility.
- Monitor AI-driven SERP behaviours and adjust optimisation methods accordingly.
- Stay ahead of evolving AI-search trends, factuality constraints and ranking mechanisms.
Technical SEO
- Conduct deep-dive technical audits
- Improve site crawlability, indexation, page experience and Core Web Vitals in collaboration with the CMS Specialist.
- Manage sitemaps, robots.txt, canonicalisation, redirects, hreflang and structured data.
- Identify and resolve issues such as thin pages, duplicate content, crawl traps and weak internal linking.
- Ensure all new website components (templates, modules, page layouts) follow SEO-first principles.
Analytics, Reporting & Experimentation
- Track organic performance using relevant and dashboarding tools.
- Build keyword tracking frameworks for priority product and competitor terms.
- Provide clear monthly insights, showing impact on traffic, rankings and conversions.
- Run ongoing experiments (title, snippet refinement, schema updates, internal linking tests).
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Work closely with:
- CMS Specialist for technical fixes, schema, speed and template optimisation
- Content team for briefs, outlines and content evaluation
- Design and digital teams for UX improvements that affect rankings
- Paid media for shared keyword intelligence
- Ensure SEO requirements are embedded into all new digital projects from day one.
What You'll Bring
Experience & Skills
- 5+ years years experience in SEO with demonstrated impact in B2B SaaS, B2B technology or complex non-transactional products
- Deep proficiency in keyword research, search behaviour analysis and competitive audits
- Strong experience with technical SEO, schema markup, Core Web Vitals and crawlability
- Hands-on experience optimising for AI search, semantic SEO and entity-level optimisation
- Experience with:
- Google Search Console
- Google Analytics 4
- Semrush or Ahrefs
- Screaming Frog / Sitebulb
- Surfer, Frase, Clearscope (or similar content optimisation tools)
- Familiarity with structured data at scale
- Ability to work independently and translate complex SEO concepts into clear, actionable recommendations
- Excellent written communication skills
- Strong analytical mindset and experience translating data into insight
