A leading construction firm in the UK is seeking a dedicated individual to join their Process Team, focused on delivering microsurfacing solutions. Your responsibilities will include executing road repairs, ensuring compliance with health and safety standards, and operating machinery on-site. The role requires travel across various UK locations and flexibility to work weekends. Ideal candidates will have machine resurfacing experience, or be willing to learn, as training will be provided. You will join the Specialist Surface Treatments division as a member of a Process Team delivering microsurfacing solutions to multiple clients across the UK. The role is focused on safely and effectively carrying out road repairs and surface using the microasphalt/microsurfacing process, ensuring all work meets required quality and safety standards. The post requires travel to various sites across the UK and working every other weekend during the main season. Colas will arrange/provide mobile accommodation and pay subsistence.
Previous experience in machine resurfacing is an advantage, but training will be provided for candidates without experience. You should be able to operate plant and work safely on highways under traffic management, understand health, safety and environmental responsibilities, and be willing to work away on a rota and share mobile accommodation. Desirable: micro/recycling experience, highway maintenance background and CSCS/NRSWA certifications (training available if required).
