HSBC Innovation bank is currently searching for a Corporate Communications Manager to join their team in London! Within this role, you will be responsible for supporting the team with the below responsibilities:

  • Collaborate Across Business Units: Forge strong partnerships with all areas of the business to deeply understand and align with strategic objectives and initiatives, ensuring communication efforts are fully integrated and supportive of overarching goals.
  • Innovative Communication Strategies: Strategically define and deliver cutting‑edge communication strategies and plans that clearly articulate objectives and key messages, driving engagement and alignment across the organization.
  • Dynamic Internal Communication Development: Proactively develop impactful internal communication materials, including leadership messages, employee newsletters, intranet content, management talking points, and presentations, to foster a cohesive and informed workforce.
  • Multi-Channel Communication Management: Strategically manage and execute communication tactics across diverse channels—print, video, events, and online—to maximise reach and effectiveness, ensuring consistent and compelling messaging.
  • Quality and Creativity Assurance: Ensure all content is of the highest quality, creatively engaging, and compelling, while consistently aligning with corporate messaging to reinforce brand integrity and strategic objectives.
  • Channel Optimisation and Innovation: Leverage existing communication channels while driving the adoption of innovative tools across the organisation, enhancing communication efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Comprehensive Effectiveness Measurement: Implement robust qualitative and quantitative methods to measure communication effectiveness, providing actionable insights to continuously refine and enhance strategic communication efforts.
  • Support Strategic Execution of HSBC Innovation Banking’s Social Media Strategy: Assist with the development and implementation of a robust social media strategy with a primary focus on LinkedIn, ensuring alignment with broader business objectives and fostering engagement with key audiences.
  • Craft and Implement Proactive Media Campaigns: Strategically position HSBC Innovation Banking through the creation and deployment of forward‑thinking media campaigns. Focus on strategic announcements and address reputational media issues with agility and foresight, anticipating potential challenges and opportunities.
  • Provide Strategic Insight and Counsel: Offer comprehensive guidance on PR and social media strategies to internal stakeholders, including media spokespeople. Facilitate proactive communication planning and equip teams with the tools and insights needed to effectively manage media interactions and enhance our reputation.
Experience Required
  • A bachelor’s degree in marketing, English, Journalism, Communications or another related discipline
  • 5+ years of corporate communications experience in an agency or corporate environment
  • Exceptional writing and editing skills, as evidenced by past experience and writing samples
  • Deep understanding of evolving communications trends and channels
  • Excellent project management, problem‑solving skills and the ability to prioritise and manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously
  • Strong verbal communication skills, as well as excellent presentation skills
  • Ability to build and maintain strong working relationships
