Job Overview

We are seeking an outgoing and competitive Mobile Hydraulic Field Service Technician at Pirtek Leicester, servicing on-site hydraulic hose repairs in the area. The ideal candidate will be self-motivated, able to work well as part of a team, and preferably have experience in a mechanical plant or engineering background. Training will be provided for the right person.

This role involves an after-hours call-out roster on a 24-hour basis, including weekends and bank holidays. Candidates must hold a full UK driving licence and be willing to complete an online driving licence check.

Key Responsibilities

1. Provide professional on-site hose replacement services to Pirtek customers.
2. Participate in a 24-hour on-call rota with other franchise technicians.
3. Promote Pirtek products and services actively within your territory.
4. Maintain high health and safety standards, including the use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
5. Manage the Mobile Sales and Service Unit (MSSU), including stock levels, routine maintenance, cleanliness, and documentation.
6. Assist franchise staff as needed and attend training courses.

Candidate Requirements

• Good personal presentation and adherence to company policies.
• Basic mechanical knowledge, manual dexterity, and physical ability.
• Excellent communication skills, both oral and written.
• Professional and courteous demeanor.
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
• Ability to communicate technical information clearly.
• Successful completion of Pirtek induction and training programs.
• Experience in plant, motor trade, or hydraulics is advantageous but not essential.
