A leading palliative care organization in the UK seeks an experienced Practice Educator - Nurse Band 6 equivalent to enhance clinical training programs for care professionals. Ideal candidates are qualified paediatric or dual registered nurses with proven teaching experience and clinical skills in respiratory support and end-of-life care. At Naomi House & Jacksplace we are embracing the changing world of palliative care for children and young adults and developing new ways of working, so we are looking for a Practice Educator - Nurse Band 6 equivalent to join our forward-thinking, passionate team.

Working within our skilled Practice Education Team, you will maintain and further develop clinical training programmes for all care professionals in the Trust, in line with our agreed educational strategy. This will include supporting clinical theory and skills assessments, continued development of a robust clinical competency framework and assisting with the regular review of skill mix and care needs.
In addition, you will work directly within the clinical area, advising and supporting the development of competency and confidence. You will therefore need to be an excellent practitioner who is seen as a role model.
A qualified paediatric or dual registered nurse with proven experience in education or teaching, you must have up to date experience with a range of clinical skills including invasive and non-invasive respiratory support; IV and central line management; and experience of nursing care at end of life. Excellent interpersonal skills and good presentation skills are also important.

Salary £37,667 - £48,428 per annum, plus unsociable hours payment.
