Job Title: Head of Pricing Transformation

Location: Peterborough, Manchester, London, Stoke-on-Trent (flexible hybrid working)

Why this role matters

As Head of Pricing Transformation, you’ll drive the evolution of our pricing capabilities—embedding best practices, introducing innovative approaches, and ensuring our strategies deliver maximum impact for both customers and the bottom line. This is about creating smarter, more agile pricing solutions that set new standards for the industry.

What you’ll do:
  • Lead the transformation of pricing capability to deliver sustainable commercial outcomes.
  • Drive change initiatives that enhance profitability and customer value.
  • Champion pricing governance and robust controls.
  • Lead and develop managers and their teams; set culture and standards that drive performance, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
  • Partner with Modelling, Optimisation, Street Pricing, Data, Technology, Finance, and the Commercial team to land solutions that are adopted in BAU and deliver results at scale.
  • Engage executive stakeholders with clear narratives and evidence based recommendations; represent pricing transformation in senior forums.
  • Champion innovation and research & development to keep capabilities ahead of the market.
What we’re looking for:
  • Exceptional commercial acumen, decision making and problem solving; able to connect technical opportunities to P&L outcomes.
  • A strong track record leading pricing transformation and managing leaders (not just teams of analysts) in general insurance.
  • Strong communication skills across a variety of audiences, particularly with senior stakeholders.
  • Deep knowledge of general insurance products and price optimisation; including knowledge of current trends, issues and regulations.
  • Strong understanding predictive modelling and price optimisation - able to challenge and guide experts without needing to be hands on day to day.
  • Familiarity with modern pricing tooling and data platforms (e.g., WTW Radar/Earnix, Python/R, Azure Databricks) and the ability to set direction for their effective use.
  • A quantitative degree (or equivalent experience) and a continuous improvement mindset.
