An opportunity has arisen for an experienced and motivated individual to join our Ashburton based team as a Senior Service Technician. This role is responsible for acting as an official 2IC to the Service Manager in the Ashburton Service Branch and will also play a vital role in servicing our customers' pivot, hard and soft hose irrigators, pumps and irrigation needs in the Mid Canterbury region. In this role you will have the opportunity to develop your skills as a leader both in the workshop and out in the field.

We require an energetic and positive Senior Service Technician with a can do attitude, who is looking for a varied and challenging role. Our preferred candidate will be from an agricultural servicing or trade background with excellent communication skills who is looking to build a career as a leader in the Irrigation industry. A class 4 drivers license would be an advantage, but not essential. This role will involve some travel and overnight stays from time to time (and you will be compensated for this).

Duties & Responsibilities

• Assisting the Service Manager to supervise staff
• Assisting to plan and prioritise service jobs
• Assisting the Service Branch with hands on trainingand support
• Installation of new pump systems
• Filtration Service
• Digger/Trenching work
• Irrigation and pumping equipment maintenance and servicing
• General engineering and fabrication
• Driving hiab truck (if hold class 4 drivers license)
