A fantastic opportunity to broaden your UK operational skills in an in-house role that delivers employee benefits and pensions to EMEA.
We are seeking a Pensions and Benefits Analyst (with two to three years pensions or employee benefits experience in the UK) who will be seconded to one of our clients. The secondment is an on-going role within our client's Human Capital Management (HCM) division in Birmingham.
This position supports the operational and technology aspects of EMEA Benefits as well as running day-to-day benefit operation processes.
The ideal candidate will have, or be a self-starter to learn, benefits operations/technology expertise to support the operations of benefit programmes to over 5,000 employees across the region. The candidate will work closely with other internal groups (e.g. procurement and technology) to ensure programmes are delivered efficiently for both the firm and employees to support the delivery of best in class programmes. This position is at the Analyst level and based in the UK.
Responsibilities
STRATEGY
- Support EMEA Benefits operations and technology strategy that maximises the employee experience whilst leveraging cost saving opportunities for the firm
- Support operational and technology reviews and identify opportunities for efficiency and/or automation
- Support compliance with internal requirements as well local regulation and legislation
- Support the Benefits Operations team with cross regional/global operations and/or technology projects including cross regional and cross functional working group activity
GOVERNANCE:
- Support EMEA Benefits vendor management to ensure compliance with Goldman Sachs’ vendor management and risk policies as they relate to Benefits
- Support the annual Global Governance Benefits Framework attestation process
- Manage EMEA Benefits Operations processes and procedures in accordance with internal policy, e.g. Records Management
OPERATIONS:
- Support day-to-day administration of EMEA benefit programmes, e.g. payrolls, employee queries
- Support the day-to-day management of EMEA Benefits vendors to help ensure the Benefits Team is compliant with Vendor requirements and on-boarding and off-boarding
- Support managing vendor tech risk as required and support the quarterly EMEA Tech Risk Reviews
- Support the broader EMEA Benefits Team on benefit renewals, including data requirements, communications to employees and system automation of benefits/renewals
- Identify and put forward ongoing opportunities to automate processes and gain efficiencies across all EMEA locations
- Support the EMEA Benefits management reporting working with the MI Team and broader Benefits Team as necessary
·Support the operational aspects of vendor performance against KPI’s and support vendor contract reviews/renewals
OTHER
- Support operational matters to the business including postings, presentations and other stakeholder management documentation
- Support on operational aspects of merger, acquisition and sale activity as required
- Support the Broader EMEA Benefits Team as required
- Support EMEA and Global benefits projects as required
Skills / Requirements
- 0-3 years of EMEA Benefits operations experience and working knowledge of EMEA benefits/legislation preferred
- Working knowledge of Defined Benefit and Defined Contribution pension arrangements an advantage
- Strong project management and organization skills with superior attention to detail and excellent follow-through
- Results-oriented; ability to successfully manage multiple tasks, take initiative to improve own performance, and ability to work intensely towards extremely challenging goals in the face of obstacles or setbacks
- Ability to develop relationships with broad base of stakeholders
- Good communication, influencing and persuasion skills and comfortable working in a global team that both welcomes and challenges new ideas
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills; ability to perform detailed analysis of problems and identify resolutions; understands when and how to escalate issues to manage risk
- Innovative approach with ability and appetite to challenge existing processes/procedures
- Creative strength to transform abstract ideas into tangible actions/products
- Ability to operate in a virtual work environment where teams may be spread across multiple locations
- Self-starting and enthusiastic in approach to work
- Good understanding of finance and metrics management and reporting
- Advanced computer literacy: Advanced Microsoft Office and Excel skills a requirement
