Overview

LOCATION – Based at Southampton Airport, may be sent to other locations

POSITION - Security Officer - Male & Female

REPORTING TO - Security Supervisors

HOURS OF WORK - As per operational and client requirements

RATE OF PAY - £13.57 increased to £14.20 after probation period.

Responsibilities

• Perform a range of security-based tasks including, but not restricted to, Central search, HBS Baggage system, body searches, baggage searches, access control including search of vehicles, x-ray screening, aircraft guarding, passenger interviewing, patrols, CCTV and document checking.
• Operational will require you to be based at Southampton but will be required at other locations as and when required, travel expenses and Pier Diems paid.
• Use of security industry approved systems, such as 3d Xrays, ETD machines, and hand-held tablets.

• Achieve and maintain full compliance with Regulator, Airport, and ICTS requirements.
• Maintain the required professional standards of operation, in accordance with Company requirements.
• To act within the authorities set out by Management and the company’s working procedures.
• To carry out any other duties as directed by Security Team Managers.
• Promote ICTS (UK) & Ireland Ltd positively.
• Customer Service
• Accountable for delivering the highest possible standard of customer service, whilst meeting all regulatory requirements.

• Excellent command of English both oral and written.
• Demonstrated ability to work under pressure and to prioritise tasks.
• Flexibility and availability according to operational needs.
• Full driving licence
• Excellent customer service skills.

• Self-motivated but also able to work well in a team.
• Punctual, professional, with attention to detail.
• 5-year checkable work history vetted (within UK)
• Successful clearance of Criminal Record Check and Counter Terrorist Check.
• All applicants must have correct documentation enabling them to work in the UK and also have a permanent NI number.

Schedule

• Permanent Contract
• Shift patterns commencing 5am onwards
• Early shift, Mid shift, Back shifts, Night shifts and Bank holidays covering 24hr operations/365 days per year.

Full training and PPE provided to successful candidates.
