Overview

Lincolnshire Division of East Midlands Ambulance Service are looking to recruit a Divisional Senior Manager for Quality. This is a forward-thinking, dynamic, high performing team. The role is suitable for experienced senior leaders from a clinical background with a demonstrable track record of leading change in line with the Trust’s Quality Strategy. The post is based at Lincs Head Quarters and is initially a 12 month secondment, with potential to become substantive for the right candidate. There is an on‑call rota requirement and opportunities for development working alongside existing senior team members.

Responsibilities
  • Provide divisional oversight for, and coordinate the delivery of, the EMAS quality improvement strategy, objectives and priorities in alignment with the five domains of quality (care, responsiveness, effectiveness, well-led, and safety) as per the Care Quality Commission framework.
  • Lead the development of clinical and quality improvement plans, linking divisional priorities with quality improvement, patient safety, clinical directorate and the education department.
  • Provide senior clinical leadership for the Divisional Senior Clinical Leader (DSCL) and Specialist Practitioner (SP) roles, acting as the division’s clinical and quality professional lead.
  • Work closely with a diverse range of staff across a wide geographical footprint and in tandem with a fixed-term role focused on transforming care delivery, ensuring coordinated activity across the three geographic areas within the Division.
  • Represent the Division at internal and external regional meetings and deputise for the Divisional Director on matters related to the delivery of high quality care.
  • Collaborate with other senior team members to support governance structures, robust compliance, and the ongoing improvement of care quality.
  • Support the Trust’s approach to quality assurance and quality improvement and identify priorities within the division.
  • Be available to cover an on-call rota as part of the role and engage in development opportunities with the senior team.
  • Engage with potential candidates and provide information about the vision for the role over the next 12 months.
Qualifications and Experience
  • Experience as a senior leader from a clinical background with extensive quality experience and a track record of leading change in line with a Quality Strategy.
  • Ability to work without direct line management responsibility while coordinating with a range of staff across a large geographic footprint.
Additional Information

This is an existing component of the small senior team in Lincolnshire and aims to sustain improvements in the delivery of high-quality care. The post holder will also be expected to represent the Division at internal and external regional meetings and to deputise for the Divisional Director as required. The role supports the Trust’s approach to quality assurance and improvement and aligns with governance structures within the Division.

This is a 12 Month Secondment in the first instance.
