Waking Nights Children's Support Worker - EBD

Hours: 8pm - 8am (39 hours per week on a rolling shift pattern.)

We are looking for a resilient and nurturing Children's Support worker to join our family home, caring for young people who have varied behavioural needs. You would be the person to give encouragement and praise when needed, to be patient during times of crisis and be a friendly face to provide support during the nighttime.

The role can be emotionally challenging, and you could be handling difficult situations BUT you could be the person to change a life for the better. Personal care is required as part of this role.

What do you need?
  • Previous relevant experience or transferable skills such as adult care, police, education, ex forces or supporting vulnerable people.
  • A real passion and desire to support children in a homely environment
  • A good level of English communication skills, Makaton or BSL would be beneficial.
  • Experience or knowledge of child-centred, therapeutic models.
  • Naturally caring, flexible and resilient.
  • Full UK drivers licence would be beneficial.
