About the Role:

Grade Level (for internal use): 12

The Team: The position is in the Data Stewardship organization for Energy & Agriculture domain within S&P Global Enterprise Data Organisation. The agriculture team covers Agriculture, Food, Biofuels, Crop Science and Animal Health, delivering essential intelligence using several datasets across the domain and publishing through products such as Platts Connect (Core), S&P Connect, API feeds, etc. S&P Global Energy is a market leader in providing data across the energy division.

The Impact: The FTE will be responsible for working effectively with a diverse group of data operations, product management, research, commercial and technology teams on data expansion, governance, operational transformation, client-first projects and initiatives.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead & manage content led projects scoping, strategizing, coordinating with PMO, updating project status, health, etc., and operate Program Management Office (PMO) guidelines.
  • Work with multiple teams, gather and refine requirements, create timely & accurate Features & user stories, maintain backlog for content user stories and bugs, groom user stories and discuss them with stakeholders for prioritization; provide timely and adequate support to developers and QAs with requirements and testing.
  • Become a Subject Matter Expert for the dataset within the domain with deep knowledge of data structures, content collection tools, feeds, workflow design, data pipelines and client interfaces.
  • Coordinate & partner with product team to build/enhance front end products offering and commercialize data capabilities to meet customer demand and create additional revenue opportunities.
  • Ensure timely content/data readiness for each release – support with data clean-up/audit/generic backfill or load processes.
  • Provide advanced data/operations support for a range of research activities.
  • Contribute to improving data accuracy and driving operational efficiency, identifying and implementing Lean, RPA, Automation solutions.
  • Effectively communicate with key stakeholders (through sprint reviews, project profile, hub, strategy calls, etc.).

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor/Master’s degree preferably in Business, Finance, IT, or related field.
  • At least 5+ years of work experience.
  • Good oral and written communication skills.
  • Proficient knowledge in SQL & MS Office.
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously to meet critical deadlines.
  • Knowledge of Agile/Scrum process. Experience of working in Agile would be an added advantage.
  • Exposure to automation tools.
  • Strong analytical skills and data-oriented mindset.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize.
  • Knowledge of Agricultural industry would be an added advantage.
