The Role: We seek a talented and experienced Port Operations Cost & Performance Executive.

CLOSING DATE = 23rd December 2025

Minimum Requirements:

Candidates must have the right to work in the UK and be based within a reasonable commuting distance of our Southampton, Hampshire office. They should be able to work independently, take initiative in shaping and developing this newly created role, and collaborate effectively as part of a team. A positive, adaptable attitude and a willingness to contribute to a fast‑growing organisation are essential.

Description Brief:

As the Port Operations Cost & Performance Executive, you will play an essential role in supporting both the financial oversight and service quality of our global port activities. Working closely with the wider Port Operations team, you will be responsible for reviewing, processing, and validating all port‑related invoices within the MXP system, ensuring that charges accurately reflect the services delivered. You will also coordinate the initial approval flow before forwarding items to Finance for final processing.

In addition, you will contribute to end‑of‑season performance reviews of port agents and service providers, helping to assess service consistency, reliability, and cost effectiveness. Your work will be instrumental in maintaining our operational standards across all ports and ensuring that both financial accuracy and service quality remain consistently high.

Responsibilities:

In this role, you will be responsible for receiving, reviewing, and processing all port‑related invoices through MXP, ensuring accuracy and alignment with contracted services. You will verify that all billed services were delivered as expected, liaising with local agents and internal teams when clarification is needed, and approving invoices in accordance with company processes before forwarding them for final approval. The position also involves maintaining accurate records of services and costs, identifying and investigating discrepancies, and escalating issues where appropriate. You will work closely with Port Operations and Finance to enhance cost control and streamline processes, assist with end‑of‑season evaluations by compiling performance data on agents and vendors, and support the preparation of reports that highlight cost trends, service reliability, and operational concerns. Additionally, you will contribute to continuous improvement initiatives aimed at strengthening port service delivery and overall cost management.

Role Requirements:

The ideal candidate will bring experience in invoice processing or cost control, preferably within a logistics, travel, or maritime setting. While familiarity with MXP or other cruise industry financial or operational systems is an advantage, it is not essential. Strong attention to detail and confidence in managing financial data are crucial, along with excellent communication and coordination skills to effectively liaise with both internal teams and external partners. The role requires a proactive, analytical mindset, a commitment to continuous improvement, and the ability to work comfortably in a fast‑paced, seasonal environment. A solid understanding of invoice workflows and basic performance review procedures will further support success in this position.

If you have a talent for creating joy and offering genuine, heartfelt service, we encourage you to apply today.
