A leading engineering firm in the UK is looking for a Graduate Submarines Electrical Power Engineer to join their team in Barrow. In this role, you'll support the design and development of submarine systems and technologies, ensuring their operation through various stages. Job Title: Graduate Submarines Electrical Power Engineer

Location: Barrow (Cumbria)

Salary: £34,000 + £2,000 Welcome Bonus

What you’ll be doing:

As an Electrical Engineering Graduate, you’ll join an exciting team who support throughout the whole product life cycle, designing and developing systems and adapting new technologies, and supporting the build, test, commissioning and in service operation of all current, new, and future classes of submarine.

  • Power System Architecture; Protection and Co-ordination; Earth Fault Monitoring; Modelling and Operation
  • Power Equipment
  • Power Generation and Distribution – both AC & DC
  • Energy Storage and Power Electronics
  • Degaussing and Cathodic Protection
  • Submarine Lighting Systems
