A leading engineering firm in Glasgow is seeking a Graduate Naval Ships Manufacturing Engineer to influence design and develop manufacturing capabilities. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of a 2.2 in their Bachelor's or Master's degree in relevant engineering disciplines. Job description

Job Title: Graduate Naval Ships Manufacturing Engineer

Location: Govan (Glasgow)

We offer a range of hybrid and flexible working arrangements, however for this role you will be expected to attend your site 3-4 days per week.

Salary: £34,000 + £2,000 Welcome Bonus

What you’ll be doing:
  • Influence the design to ensure it is in line with current and evolving manufacturing capability.
  • Develop the manufacturing capability and technology (including IT) to ensure the design requirement can be met.
  • Translate the Engineering Design intent (Drawings, standards etc.) into Manufacturing Engineering data for use in Operations.
  • Ensure that Manufacturing Engineering output meets all the relevant Safety and Quality requirements.
  • Generate and progress Manufacturing Engineering output in‑line with Project / Programme requirements.
  • Define and execute emergent work affecting manufacture, fabrication or construction.

The Naval Ships Team:

We design and build offshore patrol vessels, giant aircraft carrier and provide complex warships including the Type 26 Frigate to the Royal Navy, giving the customer capability to fulfil operations around the world.

Qualification requirements

As a minimum requirement you’ll need to have obtained, or be predicted to obtain, a 2.2 in your Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Production Engineering Management, Product Design Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering or Mechanical Engineering.

Start date: 7th September 2026
