We are looking to hire a highly driven Assistant Sign Installer to join our team at our Digital Print Facility in Glasgow.

Hours

Full time: Monday – Friday 9am – 5.30pm

About the role

We’re looking for an Assistant Installer to join our talented in‑house Installation team within our Marketing department at Arnold Clark based at our Facility on South Street in Glasgow.

With an over 100‑strong Marketing team, we keep it all in‑house. We have the latest state‑of‑the‑art printing and finishing equipment, you’ll get the chance to work on a variety of installation projects with employees across the business, installing a mixture of graphics and signage, both internally and externally.

If you’ve worked in a hands‑on role and have experience of working to tight deadlines, you’ll already have some of the traits we are looking for. Full training will be provided on our internal systems and processes. You should also be happy working both individually and as part of a team.

Working as part of our Marketing Install team, you can expect:

• You’ll be assisting the install team for the installation and removal of point‑of‑sale items including internal and external branch signage in line with business requirements.
• Assisting the Install team to ensure jobs are completed for stakeholders across all our branches in a timely and efficient manner.
• Ensure all materials and supplies for the department are ordered from a variety of external suppliers in accordance with the business guidelines.
• Maintain a clean, safe and tidy environment and storage area at all times.
• Provide the upkeep, maintenance and cleaning of the install environment and work room, including vehicles on a daily/weekly basis.

The ideal candidate for this role:

• Will be a time served apprentice within a skilled trade or have a minimum 2 years’ experience working as a signage installer/joiner or come with other relevant skills and experience from a hands‑on trade.
• You’re a natural team player. We’re a big team and are always looking to help and support each other – and have a laugh along the way.
• The ability to work on your own initiative as well as having the right attitude to work closely with the wider team on multiple projects to assist with any business requirements.
• You have good organisational skills and take pride in your attention to detail and recognise the importance of this in everything you do.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to communicate confidently and effectively.
• You don’t want to stand still with a desire to continually learn, improve and develop your skills.
• The ability to work well under pressure, problem‑solve and work to tight deadlines.
• You’ll bring a can‑do attitude to work and don’t mind a challenge or two.
• Driving licence preferable.
