Overview

We are looking to recruit a Canteen Assistant who will be responsible for preparing hot & cold food at our distribution centre in Monkspath, Solihull.

Pay, working hours & benefits

We are looking for a full time Canteen Assistant working between 09:00 to 18:30. These hours may vary and shift timings could change but advanced notice will be given.

The pay will range between £13.17 - £14.28 per hour depending on the timings of your shift. This can be discussed with the hiring manager.

Duties

• Food preparation tasks;


• Cooking and counter serving of meals;


• Receiving and moving of deliveries to kitchen storage;


• Replenishment of fridges


• Cleaning of kitchen utensils, appliances and surfaces.

About You

This is a busy canteen, so the ability to work under pressure without supervision is essential. Candidates should also be able to communicate effectively and possess general numeracy and literacy skills.

Food hygiene is very important, so a basic food hygiene qualification would be desirable as well as an understanding of workplace health and safety.
