A leading research network in Belfast seeks a Research Network Coordinator to manage and coordinate Network-funded projects in helminth parasitology. This fixed-term role requires a BSc and a PhD in a related field, along with significant experience in research project management and communications. You will work with partners to advance research initiatives and engage with stakeholders to influence policy. The recently funded BBSRC network Helminth Eco-Health Hub UK aims to unite multidisciplinary scientists across disciplines, expertise, and career-stages to drive innovative and impactful research in helminth parasitology. The Network will: (i) advance scientific knowledge to address global helminth disease and United Nations Sustainable Development Goals; (ii) train next-generation researchers; (iii) enhance researcher mobility; (iv) engage stakeholders, and (v) influence policy. The Research Network Coordinator will lead the delivery of Network-funded projects and support the strategic development of the Helminth Eco-Health Hub. Working with internal and external partners, the role will coordinate research activities, communications, and operations to advance a diverse portfolio of helminth research initiatives.
The Research Network Coordinator will be responsible for coordinating and managing Network-funded research projects, supporting strategic planning, and ensuring effective delivery of the Helminth Eco-Health Hub’s objectives. Key duties include overseeing research administration and operations, facilitating collaboration across partner institutions, managing communications through digital and media platforms, and promoting the Hub’s diverse portfolio of helminth research initiatives. Experience and understanding of the UK helminth research environment is essential for this role. This is a fixed term post for 30 months. Fixed term contract posts are available for the stated period in the first instance but in particular circumstances may be renewed or made permanent subject to availability of funding.
