Job summary

A renowned motorcycle manufacturer in Hinckley is seeking a Junior Riderwear Designer to create high-performance technical rider wear. This role focuses on innovative design and advanced textile technology, ensuring safety and style for motorcyclists globally. The ideal candidate will have a degree in Fashion Design, proven experience in technical apparel design, and proficiency in design software. Qualifications

  • Degree in Fashion Design or Textile Technology.
  • Proven experience in technical apparel design.
  • Strong knowledge of protective garment standards.

Responsibilities

  • Create technical motorcycle clothing using advanced materials.
  • Produce detailed technical drawings and specifications using CAD software.
  • Monitor global riderwear trends to inform design direction.
  • Source and evaluate technical fabrics and innovative materials.
  • Work closely with Product Developers to develop prototypes.
  • Liaise with internal teams and external suppliers for collection delivery.
  • Ensure all designs meet international safety certifications.

Skills

Technical apparel design
Knowledge of protective garment standards (CE, EN)
Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator
Proficiency in Photoshop
Garment construction knowledge

Education
