Job description

Responsibilities

• Perform periodic and trigger-event KYC reviews of merchants in line with AML/CFT requirements
• Assess merchants’ business activities, risk profiles, and exposure to financial crime throughout the business relationship
• Conduct KYC and compliance checks, including screening for sanctions, politically exposed persons, adverse media involvement in AML, bribe and fraud
• Review merchants’ websites, services, and published information to identify risk-relevant changes
• Monitor transactional activity, investigate unusual transactions, and follow up on outstanding documentation
• Support merchant onboarding, approve alternative payment methods, and manage ongoing changes to merchant profiles from a compliance perspective
• Perform merchants and end-users complaints reviews
• Prepare recommendations, reporting, and ad-hoc support to the Direct Supervisor

Requirements

• 1+ year of experience in KYC, AML, Compliance, Transaction monitoring or similar roles
• Previous experience within fintech, payment service providers (PSPs), e-commerce payments, or related financial services
• Strong knowledge of KYC/CDD/EDD processes, AML/CFT regulations, and sanctions frameworks
• Ability to analyze transactional activity and identify unusual or suspicious behavior
• Familiarity with compliance tools (sanctions screening, transaction monitoring, KYC systems)
• Professional proficiency in English (written and verbal)
• Strong analytical and critical thinking, attention to detail, and problem-solving ability
• Effective communication, teamwork, and adaptability mindset

Salary Range: 1900 - 2500 EUR Gross/month
