Cure Talent are excited to partner with a thriving UK Medical Device Manufacturing Company in their search for a Lead Maintenance Engineer to join their expanding Engineering Department.

As the new Lead Maintenance Engineer, you will take on a hands‑on leadership role, heading up a team of Engineers working on a rotating shift pattern. You will provide both electrical and mechanical support for production machinery across the site, while also leading a team of two Engineers on your shift.

This role is critical in ensuring production uptime, driving best practices, and maintaining compliance with Health and Safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Leading a team of Engineers on shift, providing guidance, support, and hands‑on expertise
• Fault finding, repair, and maintenance of electrical and mechanical production machinery
• Conducting Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) and ensuring schedules are met
• Installing and upgrading electrical circuitry while supporting mechanical breakdowns as required
• Driving Health and Safety compliance and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives

Key Requirements

• Level 3 Engineering Apprenticeship or equivalent qualification
• Strong engineering background both electrically and mechanically
• Proven team leadership experience in an automated production environment
