Job description

We are currently supporting a B2B, listed client on a retained search for a Divisional Financial Controller. The role will focus on ensuring the accuracy, integrity, and timely delivery of financial reports, while also driving strategic decision-making through financial analysis, management and compliance.

The ideal candidate will be happy in a hands-on environment, working closely with the Divisional Finance Director and wider team. We do require a proven Financial Controller with a relevant professional qualification for this position.

The role is based in London with regular travel to the South East (likely once per week).

Overview

Divisional Financial Controller role for a B2B, listed client. Focus on accuracy, integrity, and timely financial reporting, with strategic input through financial analysis, management and compliance.

Responsibilities
  • Ensure the preparation and delivery of timely, accurate financial statements and management information.
  • Lead on financial analysis to support strategic decision-making and performance improvement.
  • Oversee financial controls, governance, and compliance across the division.
  • Collaborate with the Divisional Finance Director and wider finance team.
  • Support budgeting, forecasting, and month-end close processes.
Qualifications
  • Qualified finance professional (e.g., ACA/ACCA/CIMA or equivalent).
  • Proven experience as a Financial Controller, ideally in a fast-paced, B2B, listed or financial services environment.
  • Hands-on, collaborative leader with ability to work with senior stakeholders.
  • Excellent analytical, reporting, and systems skills.
  • Willingness to travel to the South East approximately weekly.
