A local church in Chester seeks a Director of Music to lead and guide musical worship. The successful candidate will be an inspirational choir leader and confident organist, capable of working with both traditional and contemporary forms of worship. This self-employed role offers the opportunity to develop a personal musical style and engage with children, young people, and families, significantly contributing to the church's mission and choral tradition. Remuneration is based on the RSCM scale along with additional fees for events.

Are you an inspirational choir leader and a confident organist / musician who is able to work with traditional and contemporary forms of worship?
We are seeking an experienced, engaging, energetic musician to lead and guide our musical worship. Central to our mission is our desire to reach out to children, young people and their families, and music will play a key role in this. We are seeking someone who can also build on our rich choral tradition.
Remuneration according to the RSCM scale plus fees for weddings, funerals and time spent practicing with the choir and new music group.
In addition to our well-maintained organ, St Wilfrid’s also has a well-maintained classical grand piano and access to a number of highly gifted musicians which our new Director of Music may draw upon to outwork the Rector’s vision and develop their own musical style.
