Job Description

We're looking for an experienced and talented Digital Media Officer with a strong background in multi‑channel digital marketing.

Glasgow recently established a new Destination Management Organisation (DMO) to serve as the city’s voice to the world. Called Destination Glasgow, the new unit sits within Economic Development, in the Chief Executive’s Department.

Key Responsibilities

As Digital Media Officer, you will:

  • Manage and grow Destination Glasgow’s digital ecosystem, overseeing multiple social media channels and websites.
  • Create, curate and schedule engaging, high‑performing content, working closely with in‑house design, destination marketing and communications colleagues to support strategic goals.
  • Tailor content for B2C and B2B audiences, and create integrated programmes for maximum impact.
  • Produce digital content as well as copywriting, editing and proofreading.
  • Use analytics to produce post‑campaign reports and monitor growth of website audiences and social channel followers.
  • Actively monitor social ad campaign activity, adapting and retargeting where required to ensure maximum return on investment.
  • Stay creative, curious and results‑driven with a strong interest in emerging trends.
