A community organization in Bramley seeks a Digital Inclusion and Drop In Worker to lead their drop-in and support hub. This role is crucial in assisting local residents in overcoming digital challenges, enhancing their access to online services. The ideal candidate should be empathetic and possess strong communication skills in a client-focused setting. You will also run workshops to help individuals improve their technology skills, contributing to their independence and connectivity.
BARCA- Leeds are opening a Friday drop‑in and welcome space from their Manor House offices. The Digital Inclusion and Drop In Worker will lead the delivery of our Bramley Community Drop‑in and Digital Support Hub, helping local residents overcome digital exclusion and access essential online services. This role is key to enabling people to live more independent and fulfilling lives by improving their digital confidence and connectivity. The worker will run a drop‑in for people where they can access digital support on an informal basis, including accessing computers and wi‑fi. They will also run workshops upskilling people in basic use of phones/laptops and tablets, as well as organising others to come and support workshop delivery.
The ideal candidate will be a motivated and empathetic individual with a passion for helping people and tackling social inequality through technology. You will have good communication and influencing skills in a client‑focusing environment.
