A leading energy company in the UK is seeking a Design Engineer to manage engineering interfaces for HVDC projects. The ideal candidate will have experience in project engineering and strong communication skills. You will collaborate with various teams to ensure smooth project execution and contribute to the UK's energy infrastructure initiatives. For this role, we require successful applicants to be based from one of our Scottish locations – Glasgow, Perth, Aberdeen or Inverness.
£50,100 - £64,100 + car / cash allowance + performance-related bonus + a range of other benefits to support your family, finances and wellbeing.

As part of the SSEN Transmission Pathway to 2030 programme of works, we are recruiting for a Design Engineer- Interfaces requirement to join our HVDC Engineering Team. With several major HVDC projects underway, this is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in one of the UK’s most important energy infrastructure programmes.
While direct HVDC experience would be an advantage, it is not essential. We encourage candidates with a project engineering background, ideally with an electrical, civil or mechanical engineering background, ideally within the energy, utilities, or infrastructure sectors. If you’ve developed your career in construction, consultancy, or client organisations and are ready to take on larger, more complex projects, this role will give you the platform to do so.
