We are currently seeking an experienced and motivated Deputy Manager to support the day‑to‑day running of our warm and welcoming 50‑bed care home in Alton, Hampshire. This is an excellent opportunity for a passionate care professional looking to take the next step in their leadership career. The Deputy Manager role is ideal for someone ready to make a meaningful impact within a well‑established home.

The Role:

As Deputy Manager, you will work closely with the Registered Manager to ensure the delivery of high‑quality, person‑centred care while maintaining compliance with CQC standards. The Deputy Manager will support staff development, oversee clinical and care practices, and contribute to creating a positive and supportive environment for residents, families, and staff.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support the Registered Manager in the overall management of the care home
  • Ensure high standards of care and compliance with CQC regulations
  • Lead, supervise, and motivate the care team
  • Assist with care planning, audits, and quality assurance
  • Manage staffing levels, rotas, and staff performance
  • Act as Manager in their absence, taking full responsibility as Deputy Manager
  • Promote a safe, compassionate, and resident‑focused culture
About You:
  • Experience in a senior or deputy role within a care home environment, ideally as a Deputy Manager
  • Strong leadership and communication skills
  • Good understanding of CQC standards and regulatory requirements
  • Passionate about delivering high‑quality, person‑centred care
  • NVQ Level 3 or above in Health & Social Care (Level 5 desirable or working towards)
