Depot Engineer – Power Generation & Compressed Air Systems

Hours: Monday–Friday, 08:00–17:00 (42 hours per week)

Location: Teesside, TS18 3AW

What You’ll Be Doing
  • Servicing, maintaining and repairing a wide range of generators (20–1400 kVA) and compressors within our Teesside depot.
  • Carrying out fault diagnosis, component replacement and high‑quality mechanical repairs.
  • Working with modern telematics systems; our fleet is fully compatible with ComAp and Deep Sea Electronics (DSE) control panels.
  • Providing professional support to customers and collaborating with internal teams.
  • Upholding Speedy’s high standards of Health & Safety at all times.
What We’re Looking For
  • A full UK driving licence.
  • Strong mechanical knowledge, particularly with diesel engines and power generation equipment.
  • Experience working with generators, compressors or similar plant.
  • Confident fault‑finding skills and hands‑on repair experience.
  • Good IT skills, including Microsoft Office.
  • Clear communication skills and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • Flexibility to support overtime and participate in the on‑call rota.
  • A commitment to supporting our ESG strategy – Decade to Deliver.
