Position: Cybersecurity & Connectivity Engineer

Reporting To: IT Manager

Working Hours: Full-time, 36 hours per week

Location: Leyton Sixth Form College, Essex Road, Leyton, London, E10 6EQ

Responsibilities
  • Provide comprehensive 1st, 2nd, and 3rd line IT support across all systems and applications.
  • Lead specialist roles in cybersecurity devices, switches, and firewall administration.
  • Monitor and analyze threats using advanced tools and alerts to proactively mitigate risks.
  • Ensure optimised connectivity and compliance with evolving security standards.
  • Develop and maintain good working relationships with students, staff, and external representatives.
Qualifications & Experience

We are seeking an experienced IT technical practitioner with a proven track record of delivering high‑quality IT support and cybersecurity expertise.
