A local council in Tonbridge is seeking a part-time Customer Services Advisor to provide excellent multi-skilled customer service. Your responsibilities will include supporting residents via telephony, assisting in the Tourist Information Centre, and engaging in weekend and bank holiday rotations. Ideal candidates will have GCSEs in maths and English, experience in public services, and proficient IT skills. Ongoing training and support will be provided. We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Customer Services Advisor to join our team based at Tonbridge Castle.
Reporting to the Tonbridge Castle, Events & Customer Services Manager, you will undertake a customer facing role supporting our telephony service to residents providing excellent multi skilled customer service across all access channels as well as Tonbridge Tourist Information Centre, Castle Attraction and Conference Centre.
Educated to GCSE grade C standard or above in maths and English (or equivalent), you will have previous experience of providing a customer focussed, front-line, public enquiry service. You will be proficient in the use of Microsoft Word and Excel, and demonstrate confident IT skills.
There is a lot to learn, so you must be prepared to assimilate and retain a large amount of information quickly and demonstrate a “can-do” approach to your work. In return we will give you excellent ongoing training and support.
This is a part time vacancy, and our offices are open seven days a week.
This role requires a Basic DBS check which will be obtained by The Council as part of your pre-employment checks.
Weekend and bank holiday rotation Approx 1 in 5
Monday 7.5hrs – 9am to 5pm (30min lunch)
Tuesday 7.5hrs – 9am to 5pm (30min lunch)
Wednesday – 9am to 3.45pm (30min lunch)
