A leading NHS organization is seeking a Crisis Resolution Home Treatment Practitioner to join their team in Llantrisant. This role requires providing comprehensive assessments and home treatment for clients in mental health crises. The successful applicant's role will be to support the provision of health care to the people of Rhondda and Taff, contributing to a 24 hour a day, 7 day a week provision of a Crisis Resolution Home Treatment Service for clients experiencing a mental health crisis.
This will involve both lone and joint assessments of people’s mental health and working with people in their own home for client’s identified as suitable for home treatment for their acute mental health problem.
The role requires multi-level liaison, including with A&E, Crisis teams in RGH, Primary Care, Community Mental Health Teams, the police, Welsh Ambulance Service and other specialist services.
The successful applicant will have excellent skills in risk assessment and management, communication, team working and networking and will have robust coping skills in decision making and autonomous working. The successful applicant will also have an experienced working knowledge of the Mental Health Act and will be IT literate.
Welsh Skills Desirable: This post is advertised as Welsh Desirable. This doesn’t mean essential; whilst the candidate doesn't need to have skills in Welsh, we'll consider it an advantage when short-listing and selecting candidates. This isn’t ‘fluency’, just Speaking & Listening skills at Level 3 (equivalent to CEFR B2) or above. Level 3 means basic conversations with patients about their everyday health.
