Contract Administrator – Water/Wastewater

We’ve opened a role in our Ottawa or Kingston offices for a Contract Administrator – Water/Wastewater to work alongside exceptional people in JLR’s Environmental group.

Your Role as a Contract Administrator:

Choose your own adventure! Let’s talk about how your skills, experience, goals, and passions can find a home at JLR. As a Contract Administrator, your role will include:

  • Administering the terms of contract documents to ensure that all work is carried out according to the construction agreement.
  • Reviewing contract documents during the tender phase and assist in responding to questions during tendering.
  • Attending contractor kick-off meetings and working closely with the project managers to lead the design team and the projects through construction.
  • Monitoring work to be completed during construction, including site visits, directing field personnel to witness activities on site, managing documentation from contractors, and negotiating with contractors.
  • Reviewing progress payment claims and preparing payment certificates.
  • Reviewing and negotiating claims for additional work, including preparing contemplated change notices and change orders.
  • Administering the shop drawing review process, coordinating reviews by engineering disciplines, managing the flow of documentation, and holding the contractor accountable for providing all necessary revisions to ensure accuracy of records.
  • Identifying, addressing, and resolving contractual, project, and technical issues, and ensuring that the best interests of the client and the natural environment are protected.
  • Tracking requests for information and contract progression to ensure that all work is carried out according to plan.
  • Assessing the performance of contractors involved in projects to maintain quality control.
  • Completing all necessary documentation for project warranties and closeouts.
