The position involves managing up to 16 patients and providing leadership within an acute inpatient ward. The offer includes a competitive salary ranging from £109,725 to £145,478 per year, with full-time, part-time, and flexible working options available.
Job Summary
We invite applications for a Consultant Psychiatrist post located on The Cedars, Wonford House, Exeter. The Cedars houses two acute inpatient wards caring for adults of working age with a combined bed base of 32 beds. The post holder will be based on one of the wards and responsible for a maximum of 16 patients, with dedicated private office, PC/laptop access and a medical secretary. The post is suitable for a first‑time NHS consultant, an existing or post‑retirement consultant, or an international candidate. Possibility for hybrid remote working depending on the post. Extra Programmed Activities (10 hours per week) are negotiable for clinical, research, innovation, teaching, medical management and other special interests.
