Overview

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join United Lincolnshire Teaching Hospitals Trust as a Consultant in Accident and Emergency Department at Lincoln County Hospital.

This is a full‑time 10‑person post for a Consultant in Emergency Medicine for the United Lincolnshire Teaching Hospitals Trust. The purpose of this post is to ensure the highest quality of care is provided to each individual patient who attends the department.

Key Responsibilities
  • Work in a 1:15 on‑call rota with a 1:5 weekend frequency.
  • Provide a comprehensive clinical, supervisory, educational and training support to the Emergency Department.
  • Maintain an 85% DCC and 15% SPA split as per Trust guidance.
  • Ensure the on‑call supplement category A (high frequency) is achieved, with an 8% on‑call availability supplement currently payable.
  • If a part‑time contract is chosen, devote substantially the whole of professional time to the duties of the post and give them priority at all times.
Qualifications
  • Applicants must be on the GMC Specialist Register or within 6 months of their CCT.
  • CESR application must be completed and submitted.
  • Any applicant who is unable to work full time for personal reasons will be considered; any modifications will be discussed with the Trust and consultant colleagues.
