Construction design and build technicians specialise in one or more aspects of building design, such as structural or civil engineering; mechanical, electrical and plumbing design; residential or commercial property; landscape design; digital engineering; planning, estimating and costing; building conservation; renovation, retrofit; sustainability and green design.
The purpose of the occupation is to support multidisciplinary teams in designing and constructing the built environment, ensuring projects meet client and user needs while delivering the required levels of quality, safety, security, efficiency and environmental sustainability.
English and Maths at GCSE Grade 4 or above, or Functional Skills at Level 1 or above.
