Our Team
Although part of a global law firm, you will be joining a small teamof five Business Intake Analysts and two Business IntakeAdministrators reporting into one Business Intake & ConflictCo-Ordinator. They are responsible for all conflict searches, clientinceptions and matter confirmations for the UK LLP. This includes thefour UK offices as well as six locations across Europe such as Madrid,Brussels and Paris. The team also supports the US LLP with mattersfrom different offices, with a specific focus concerning non-USdomestic offices.
The successful applicant will be responsible for dealing withpreliminary conflict check requests, client/matter file opening andre-opening, assisting with general queries and offering anti-moneylaundering guidance.
You will undertake timely and accurate conflict checks on all newclients/matters and lateral hires in accordance with the firms QualityStandard using conflicts checking software and other databases whererequired. You will provide assistance in responding to enquiries andensuring that the conflicts database is well maintained. You will be apivotal part of ensuring that all anti-money laundering checks havebeen carried out for new and existing clients.
On a daily basis you will be corresponding with lawyers, of alllevels, via telephone and email to obtain information about newclients and matters. You will field questions raised by lawyersrelating to issues of conflicts and client/matter inception. You willalso liaise with the Asset Management and Credit Control teams asnecessary regarding credit vetting for all new potential clients.
You will also handle a combination of other administrative andanalytical duties as and when required.
The team operate Monday-Friday, 35 hours per week, 9am-5pm.

It is essential to this role that you have exceptional attention todetail and are able to understand the importance of the work you aredoing, therefore demonstrating a level of maturity in takingresponsibility for the work you undertake. You must have a good levelof Maths and English, undergraduate/further education would be desirable.
Previous experience within a customer service environment isessential and it would be advantageous to have experience of conflictchecking and client inception. Experience within professional servicesis desired but not essential.
Although comprehensive in-house training will be provided, a goodworking knowledge of MS Outlook and Excel is necessary, and it wouldbe beneficial to have experience of Aderant. You will also need anawareness or knowledge of compliance/regulations surrounding theSolicitors' Code of Conduct (relating to conflicts), Money LaunderingRegulations (2007) and Solicitors' Accounts Rules.
You will have the ability to work from your own initiative and havean awareness of confidential/personal issues. You will demonstrate theability to work within a team and prove your flexibility to workinghours. You must be able to communicate effectively with individuals atall levels and have the ability to actively listen to and interpret instructions.
