Concession Manager – Tommy Hilfiger & Calvin Klein (John Lewis – Liverpool)

Join us as a Concession Manager at Tommy Hilfiger, a leading global lifestyle brand. This role is located in Liverpool, under the John Lewis partnership, and offers the opportunity to shape customer experience directly through our premium in‑store presence.

About the Role

Our stores are the life and soul of our business. As the Concession Manager, you will lead by example, nurture our entrepreneurial spirit, and inspire your team to deliver exceptional service that reflects the values of Tommy Hilfiger and Calvin Klein.

Responsibilities
  • Partner with the Area Manager to build business opportunities and achieve company standards/goals: sales and wage budgets, sales per hour (SPH), units per transaction (UPT), conversion (hit) rate, wage and expense control, shrinkage, mystery shops, store audits, and profitability.
  • Identify opportunities and collaborate with colleagues to grow business or improve performance.
  • Consistently foster a positive store experience by treating all customers and staff members fairly and consistently.
  • Perform Manager‑on‑Duty functions; manage store opening/closing procedures and the sales floor.
  • Ensure “door to floor” best practices, visual merchandising directives and standards for the sales floor and back room are executed and reviewed regularly.
  • Manage daily sales, payroll, controllable expenses, goals and company initiatives, aligning activities to ensure business goals are met.
  • Analyze store‑level reports and create action plans to improve results.
  • Lead weekly management meetings and other staff meetings; participate in and contribute to regional meetings.
  • Set challenging yet attainable goals with an emphasis on service quality, customer satisfaction, and financial performance.
  • Coordinate appropriate action plans while considering consequences and budget decisions.
  • Communicate with staff daily about individual sales goals and other key performance indicators, product sales and information to help them provide unparalleled service.
  • Assist with manpower planning, identification, recruitment, interviewing, hiring and orientation processes.
  • Own the training and development of employees. Ensure all employees are properly oriented and trained in their role.
  • Provide training and coaching for employees (daily, weekly, and monthly) and ensure that it is appropriately documented.
About You
  • Extensive experience connecting with consumers in a brand‑retailer environment is essential.
  • Experience with retail operations, budgeting, planning, sales and people management.
  • Previous people‑management experience with the ability to resolve conflict and unproductive disagreements.
  • Effective communication skills and the ability to cultivate belonging.
  • Collaborative mindset and recognition of contributions and achievements of others.
  • Courageous in giving feedback that promotes positive behavioural change.
  • Adaptability and a fast work pace.
  • Energetic presence on the shop floor, inspiring trust.
