We are working with a leading County Council who is seeking to recruit an experienced Property Compliance Manager. This is a pivotal role ensuring full compliance across the Big Six statutory areas:

  • Gas Safety
  • Electrical Safety
  • Fire Safety
  • Water Hygiene
  • Asbestos Management
  • Lift Safety

You will be responsible for driving compliance strategies, managing risk, and ensuring all properties meet regulatory standards. This is an excellent opportunity for a seasoned professional to make a tangible impact in a high-profile local authority environment.

Your new role
  • Oversee compliance programmes for the Big Six across housing stock and corporate properties.
  • Ensure adherence to statutory obligations and best practice guidelines.
  • Manage contractor performance and maintain robust compliance records.
  • Lead audits, inspections, and remedial actions to mitigate risk.
  • Provide expert advice to senior stakeholders and deliver compliance reports.
What you'll need to succeed
  • Proven experience in property compliance within a local authority or housing context. Strong knowledge of statutory requirements for the Big Six.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
  • Ability to lead compliance programmes and manage contractors effectively.
  • You will need to have a qualification related to the field; may that be a NEBOSH, Beng or HND/HNC.
