Job description

Overview

The Shakespeare Hospice is welcoming new volunteers who can spare two hours a week. We ask for a minimum commitment of a year - a term-time only option would be accepted. A "befriending" companion volunteering role, providing supportive visits to patients who have been diagnosed with a potentially life limiting illness.

Responsibilities

• Provide supportive visits to patients with life-limiting illnesses.
• Work with a wide range of patients, carers, pre- or post-bereaved individuals and staff.
• Be part of a team and help to grow our new service, while receiving training and support.
