A regional educational institution is looking for a dedicated individual to join their Additional Learning Support team in Eastbourne. The role involves supporting students with multisensory impairments and specific communication needs, encouraging independence and participation in their studies. Candidates should possess relevant qualifications, including Level 2 Certificate in British Sign Language and experience working with the deaf or blind communities. We are looking for someone to join our Additional Learning Support team to adopt an inclusive, collaborative, and collegiate approach in providing communication support to identified student or students with multisensory impairments and/or specific speech, communication and learning needs. You will encourage independence and confidence to participate in all elements of their study program.
Closing date: 4th January 2026, with interviews shortly after.
College location: Based at our Eastbourne campus but could involve some travel if required by the college.
Annual salary: circa £16,259 per annum (based on £24,921 per annum FTE salary).
Hours: part time, 30 hours per week, term time only, 36 weeks per year, permanent contract.
