What you'll do

In this role, you will:

  • engage and build ongoing relationships with food service businesses and other commercial premises across Somerset
  • provide advice and support to businesses on the correct disposal of fats, oils, and grease (FOG)
  • inspect FOG mitigation equipment in line with industry standards and monitor ongoing maintenance.
What you'll need

You will have excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, great attention to detail, and be experienced at managing your own workload and time

In addition, you will have:

  • a proactive approach to health and safety - holding the safety of yourself, colleagues and members of the public at the forefront of all your activities
  • excellent customer engagement and relationship-building skills
  • good IT skills, including Microsoft Office
  • a thorough approach to your work and record keeping
  • the ability to work in all weather conditions
  • knowledge of kitchen grease management solutions and standards is beneficial; however, relevant training will be provided.

Due to the nature of this role, you must hold a valid manual driving licence – we'll provide you with a small van to perform your duties.
