Tameside, Greater Manchester

Part‑Time

We are looking for a volunteer to run a communal coffee morning, bringing our residents together from across our 4 extra care services in Tameside. Volunteering with Creative Support is a great way to enrich the lives of people with support needs while helping our staff to deliver person‑centred services.

We are looking for an outgoing, sociable and warm person, who’s a good listener. You will prepare and serve refreshments as well as providing conversation and companionship for the people we support. If you have a few hours to spare on a regular basis, we’d love to hear from you!

Once you have built a connection with the people we support, there will be the opportunity to develop the role into a befriender volunteer. In this capacity, you will spend time with the people we support, engaging them in conversation, activities and the local community.

This can include going for a walk, a trip to a café or accessing local services such as the library.

Our Tameside extra care services provide person‑centred care to older people with support needs. Our services are easily accessible via public transport.
