Job description

CNC Recruitment is seeking skilled CNC Millers to join a reputable client in the Bristol area. This is an excellent opportunity for experienced Millers who take pride in their precision and independence.

Location: Bristol, Somerset
Pay Rate: £15 - £17 an hour
Contract: Full time Permanent

Hours of Work –

Monday-Thursday-7.30-4.45 Friday – 7.30-12.30

Key Duties:
  • Interpret technical drawings
  • Write toolpaths for turning and/or milling in the Fanuc CNC Programming Language
  • Set up machinery, inspection equipment, fixtures and tooling
  • Operate CNC Turning Centres and/or Mills to run components to Aerospace tolerances
  • Measure and inspect components to ensure compliance with customer requirements
  • Take responsibility for minor maintenance aspects of day to day running of machinery
  • Maintain a safe, clean and tidy work area
  • Raise concerns or errors in existing paperwork, programs or set ups
  • Previous experience in an engineering environment
  • Knowledge and experience of Plastics Machining and Precision Manufacturing is desirable
  • Proficiency in CAD/CAM software
  • Fluent at reading/writing FANUC toolpaths
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Attention to detail/quality and experience of a variety of quality inspection methods
  • Ability to multi-task and meet tight deadlines
  • Responsible and self-motivated
  • Punctual, reliable, a team player and willing to follow methods and procedures
