Cloud Solutions Architect – Microsoft Data Platform

Join Iomart as a Cloud Solutions Architect for Microsoft’s Data Platforms, playing a pivotal role within the Presales function of our Managed Service Provider.

Responsibilities

• Design and architect robust Cloud solutions, focusing on Microsoft Fabric, Microsoft Purview, and Azure services for data storage and AI integration.
• Work closely with sales teams to understand client requirements, develop tailored security solutions, and present these solutions to prospective clients.
• Ensure our clients receive the highest level of technical expertise and support, enabling them to centralise, process, analyse and secure diverse data sources, build AI models, and gain actionable insights.
• Drive innovation, enhance client satisfaction, and contribute to the overall success of the organisation.

Qualifications

• Expertise in Azure Analytics (Fabric, Databricks, Purview) and comparable data warehouse, data lake, big data, analytics, and reporting solutions with integrated Data Security and Governance.
• Proven experience in a similar role, owning and contributing to proposals, statements of work, RFP responses, business cases, cost models, and leading the review process.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, enabling presentation of complex technical solutions.
• Experience in a customer‑facing, consultancy‑focused organisation, acting as a subject‑matter expert in relevant technology areas.
• Experience working with architectural principles and project delivery methodologies, including fundamentals of project management.
• Ability to mentor other technical staff to develop skills and roles.
• Strong time‑management skills and ability to work at pace within a fast‑moving environment.
• Presales‑level accreditations in supporting technologies (e.g., DP‑600, DP‑203, SC‑400, AZ‑305).
