Qualifications

  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.
  • Hands-on experience with AWS and/or Azure; Azure Virtual Desktop is a plus.
  • Familiarity with automation and configuration management tools.
  • Experience with containerisation (Docker, Kubernetes).
  • Knowledge of scripting/coding languages (Python, React, Go preferred).
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines and Infrastructure as Code.
  • Understanding of cloud security, IAM, and authentication frameworks.

Cloud Platform Developer
Location: Manchester, Gloucester or Central London ( 1 hours travel from site )

We are seeking a Cloud Platform Developer to join one of our Platinum accounts. In this leadership‑focused technical role, you’ll contribute to solution design, cloud development, and automation while guiding a multidisciplinary team to deliver scalable, secure, and highly available solutions across Azure, AWS, and private cloud environments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and contribute to the design, build, and delivery of secure cloud solutions, with a focus on automation and modern platforms.
  • Collaborate with technical teams and stakeholders to align solutions with business and security requirements.
  • Provide technical leadership and guidance to junior developers/engineers.
  • Implement high‑availability, scalable solutions leveraging cloud‑native and open‑source tools.
  • Advise clients on emerging technologies, best practices, and innovative approaches.
What You’ll Bring
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to influence and guide others.
  • Hands‑on experience with AWS and/or Azure (Azure Virtual Desktop is a plus).
  • Familiarity with automation and configuration management tools (e.g., Ansible, Puppet, Chef).
  • Experience with containerisation (Docker, Kubernetes, OpenShift) and cloud‑native platforms.
  • Knowledge of scripting/coding languages (Python, React, Go preferred).
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines and Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Jenkins, Concourse, etc.).
  • Understanding of cloud security, IAM, and authentication frameworks (OIDC, OAuth2, Keycloak, etc.).

Desirable Experience

  • Working with monitoring tools (Splunk, ELK, DataDog, Nagios, New Relic).
  • Web/application servers (NGINX, Apache, JBoss).
  • Database schemas and query languages.
  • Atlassian toolset (Jira, Confluence, Bitbucket).
